The Math Moves! exhibit stimulates mathematical imaginations and builds the mathematical abilities – interest, confidence, and skills – of children and their caregivers and makes it easier and fun for these children to succeed in middle school and high school mathematics. Math Moves! encourages children and adults to talk with each other about their experiences, and is made accessible by incorporating audio and written labels in English and Spanish.
Download a teachers guide for your visit.
Activities Explore activities for families and educators that introduce and extend math concepts and experiences found in the exhibit.
Exhibits Math Moves! is built around a core set of eight math exhibits about experiencing ratio and proportion.
Research The exhibit project also is supporting current research into how we learn and retain mathematical knowledge through our movements and gestures.
